Startup Factory is a business incubator for small and mid-sized European enterprises that are looking for assembly or production facilities, a repair workshop or an application center in China to extend their business activities.
Since 2011, we have been developing our Startup Factory concept in Kunshan from an idea to a range of shared soft skills and hardware, which we can now also offer in modified form in the USA and India. Just outside Shanghai, the experienced German-Chinese management team led by Bernd Reitmeier with Henry Wang, Christian Dorfmueller, Frank Gaenzle and Holger Morneweg currently manages the business of 40 foreign subsidiaries of European companies with a total of 400 employees. Having grown over three construction phases, the companies there work on a campus with 40,000 m2 of office and production space, their own canteen with kitchen and high-bay warehouse. Our locations are flanked by Christian Haug in our liaison office in Germany.
In combination with the flexibly rentable production space, Startup Factory China offers a comprehensive management service package that includes all central overhead functions and tasks. Our customers can concentrate fully on production and business development.

The service offer in China consists of the full Startup Factory service package, which includes all centralizable overhead functions from management, finance & tax, human resources to technical support and which is compensated according to a fair, fixed monthly fee adapted to the project. Startup Factory China’s lease areas and supporting services
All three production and office buildings on our campus in Kunshan are fully air-conditioned and ready for occupancy. Our philosophy of shared resources naturally applies in particular to infrastructure and technical equipment such as a central loading ramp, forklift, pallet truck, overhead crane, central compressed air and measuring equipment room, as well as our own canteen, roof terraces and meeting rooms.

Surroundings
The city of Kunshan is at the heart of the Yangzi Delta economic hub, around 60 km west of Shanghai and about 35 km east of Suzhou
Region
The city has more than 2 million inhabitants and covers an area of 931 sq km. Economically, Kunshan is one of the best developed tier 2 cities in China. It is home to 9,300 foreign-invested companies, including 200 German companies that form a local German community. The international character is reflected in the infrastructure, such as international schools and kindergartens. This also makes Kunshan a popular location for highly qualified Chinese employees.
Connections
Kunshan has excellent transport connections to Shanghai, its two international airports and the international ports in Shanghai and Taicang. There are also direct high speed trains to Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing.
